Along the way, you’ll step into the history and legacy of two remarkable bookstores - one, as ancient as this city as we know it, and the other, a newer, but as loved by second-hand book lovers.

About D Sudev Madhav

Madhav is a researcher, consultant, and anthropologist working across climate, ecology, urban governance and planning, and traditional knowledge in South Asia and globally. He has worked with Adivasi communities in the Nilgiris, conducted research and policy advocacy on Bangalore's water management history and urban development, and currently focuses on climate adaptation across the global south. He is a lifelong resident of Bangalore, passionate about the city's history and heritage, and is liable to lose himself in bookstores if left unattended for too long.
