Virata Parva  All Nighter Show

Saturday 13 September 2025 · 10:00 pm

Bangalore Creative Circus, BangaloreGreen Line · Sandal Soap Factory station

Date & time

An all-nighter of shadow puppetry, stories and song.

For the first time in Bangalore, Gundu Raju shared nine generations of wisdom and craft with an overnight Togalu Gombeyatta presentation of Virata Parva from the Mahabharata. The colourful night ended with Arjuna’s wedding at sunrise and an audience ready to hunt for some deadly thatte idli.

Through the shadows, the gods fell from grace and rose again, the royals stumbled and tried to regain their pride, and everyone stayed along for an eight-hour joyride with two tea breaks.

A night that preserved a piece of history, one shadow at a time.
